kakak & adek

The seasonal flu is back with a vengeance. First, it was adek whom caught the virus, then kakak had it and now, it’s me. It’s just so horrible. Oh great.

The kids were holidaying at grandma place when her temperature rose to 39 degree in the late evening. Thus, we brought her to the clinic to visit the doctor. Kakak, the stronger girl, was happily chatting with me but her temperature was quite high too at 38.5 degree. Amazingly she looked rather fine except that her body was pretty warm. As for adek, she was resting on my chest while I sat quietly on the chair waiting for our turn. I didn’t realize that by having her near me, the virus will come hopping into me too.

I was pretty fine and went to work the next day until I felt something was not right. I felt fatigue and my body started to ache all over. My throat became very sore and my forehead was getting warmer. I thought the flush will go away in a while. Since I had to go for my evening class, I tried my best to cope it till the end of the day but I was wrong. By mid afternoon, I began to have chills and the body aches felt so bad that I just wish to rest in bed.

I left my office and drove back home to see a doctor. To my amazement, my temperate rose to 38.5 degree, my head was spinning and I vomited. I had never encountered such situation before whenever I had a fever. This is the worst. As soon as I met the doctor, she told me to rest a home for 3 days and she suggested that I avoid going out as this flu is very contagious. I believe I got it from adek and it spread to me in a matter of hours. Oh dear.

To everyone out there, please take good care during this long holiday. The flu is back with a vengeance and it’s terrible.

The kids enjoyed themselves with the sun, sea and sand while the “big boys” enjoyed their time fishing!
