April 28th, 2006 § 5

Today is my last day driving home alone with bunny and I just hope will be a pleasant one. Insyaallah. It has been an enjoyable drive home and I think driving is not that scary too. Somehow it’s pretty alright & …. SungguhSyiok.Com!

Soon, it will be chauffeuring around time with the dear papa who’ll soon be coming home tomorrow.

I’m going to miss driving alone to work! Heheh! #sob sob sob

Talk about driving, do you know we could be idiots at parking sometimes!

Check this Out!
Thankfully, I’m not one of them cos I love parking! Hahah! :)

ps: but you’ll never know when I’ll be an idiot parker!

the roamer

Let talk about mommy’s driving today.

Exactly 3 months minus 2 days ago, I got my first driving licenses and officially abandoned my Lembu title. I was so happy. I was very enthusiastic to drive and to roam around Singapore with wheels only. I was glowing with joy when I got my new laminated license that cost $50 for a lifetime. I thought it was easy peanut and I thought driving on road is similar to driving while being a Lembu.

I WAS WRONG!!!

Nothing was easy. Nothing was chicken. It was very tiring too. Maybe I was driving a manual car which is why I grumbled so much. Hahahah! Or maybe I’m just daydreaming in the car while my teddy navigates for the past 5 years or more. Or maybe I never focus on the road instead I focus on handsome babes on Apek bus outside. Hahaha.

Even as his pillion, I always love looking at the birds, the bees and the trees while he zoom me back home. I felt like I was flying in the air!! Hahahha! Very imaginative one. Even as my daddy’s pillion, I will stare up in the sky looking at the clouds imagining what animals it look like whenever my dad brought me around for some riding fun. I never focus on any road names!

OKAY!!! I admit I’m a reverie roamer!

All I remembered was symbols, figurine or particular building each time we pass the route. The road name will never be in my head.

.
.
.

One Day in Singapore

“Go where?” taxi uncle
“Bedok North St 2” me

“Which route you want to take?” taxi uncle
“Up to you! The Fastest la” me

Upon reaching home

“Uncle after swimming pool, go straight” me
“Straight all the way?” taxi uncle

“Errrr, ya yah, wait later got Bedok Stadium, you turn left on traffic light!” me
“Okay” taxi uncle

Staring at the window looking for the Stadium.
“Uncle, turn left here!” me

.
.

See, the building I knew to reach home is the swimming pool and the stadium! I don’t even know that the road I always used is New Upper Changi Road and I’ve been passing that road for at least 25 years.

.
.
.

Living in the West is a newbie for me and I never knew where Teck Whye is or even Bukit Timah Road. I knew there’s Bukit Timah Hill but I don’t even know where until I moved to my new home cos my living window shows a picturesque view of Bukit Timah Hill fogging! HAHAHA!

Frankly, I never remember the road name while driving in BBDC. All I knew was that my instructor will say left, right or straight which makes life rather difficult for me now cos I’m so used to someone navigating me.

Terrible Horrible Incorrigible # stick out the tongue!!!

Unfortunately, my teddy bear doesn’t want to navigate me instead he wants me to remember the road I drive and recalling sign boards. That of course made me panicking and I will keep asking him this. Even while driving on an expressway moving at a speed of 80km/h.

“papa, Left or Right? Straight?”

The answer will be,” Dunno!”

.
.
.

Die liao Die liao. See. I lost.

.
.

Next he will say,”So next time you got lost alone, you call me issit? Papa, Left or Right?”

I slumped in silence.
.
.

In actual fact he’s been driving the car using that route almost every time we go to our in law place. The only change was that he told me to drive on a different route and now I got terribly confused even after a minor change of route.

Tell me how to drive alone like this with my bunny for some shopping!! ## cried out loud loud

I freaked out when cars zooming pass me like a bolt of lightning especially when you are using the pyramid badge. Nobody wants to give way to you. All they want is to overtake you or tailgate you, signaling you to go faster. Bloody kentut!

I got a honk from them once too. Biskut!

.
.

But then, looking on the sunshine, for merely 3 months of driving around, I’m happy to excel my driving from just office to mil home but now sometimes from my mom’s home in Bedok to all the way back home west. But with my teddy around laaaaaaaa!! At least the confidence is accumulating. Yeah.

## mama haney hati kecik tapi nak drive lorry siput sarawak!

.
.
.

So do you daydream while someone drive just like me or ignore the road names and focusing on the funny figurines around you? Then you are not alone!!!
