Oh dear! December coming yet work is piling plus the mama had just come out from a 3 hour meeting. Gosh, the list of projects to be done before the deadline comes is super long.
FORGET ABOUT WORK!! Let’s destress and talk about my bunny haney!!
Guess how is she right now. Oh yes! She’s graduated from playgroup and she had developed vastly from knowing all her A to Z everywhere to counting the number of fish ball in a bowl. Gosh at times I feel like wearing a mask in my face when she saw any alphabet around the shopping mall. She would start saying, mama, that’s E!! E for elephant. That’s X! X for xylophone! ##faint tergolek-golek
Let me share with you some laughter. One evening, we were walking together from NTUC and heading back home. This mischievous smarty little bunny of mine started singing, ”ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRST!” and pointed,”Look mama, ABCDEFGH!”
She pointed to a lady wearing a t-shirt full of ABCs (you know that lookalike LV twin sister version tuuu!!!). I tried not to giggle but can’t resist so I laughed. Luckily, the lady was not looking at us; she was walking in front of us a distant away.
HAAAAAAAAAANEYYYYYYYYY!!!
Oh yes and colors too! Frankly I had a difficult time teaching her colors cos she kept mixing up the pink and the purple. But now she’s a pro rainbow picker. The best would be looking for a car park at Vivocity. We always had a difficulty looking for a vacant slot and we would end up driving slowly from purple, pink, yellow to blue zone.
My dear haney, the chatty buzzing bee would be the one saying, that’s blue, papa park at the pink ones and when we drive to away from the pink to purple, she would continued how about the purple. Purple alright! Hmmmm!
Oh plus she remembered where we park vividly than us. One morning when we forgotten where the car was parked in the multi-storey carpark, she answered this. Papa, you park at the yellow ones la, wrong not the green ones. EEERRR.. Oh yes we did. We forgot! Buweek!! Memory fading due to aging! Ahakz!
Recently I introduced haney to Malay Books cos she kept talking in a mixed Malay and English language. Al maklum, she’s not in child care and the grannies love talking to her in mixed languages too. I don’t blame them either.
But before it gets worst, the mama introduced her Pelangi Books. It’s a Malaysian Publisher sold in Singapore. I also realized that it’s not easy to find Malay Storybooks for kids here! However these books I bought are simply cute and fun to read plus it’s small and easy for her to carry around.
The book I’ve read is called Labah-Labah yang Tamak!
This greedy spider ate all the insects that got caught on his spider’s web. There are insects such as fly, ants, grasshopper, mosquito, cockroach and many more. It’s quite fun to see her remembering the names in English and Malay. I love it too. Somehow I’m learning too. Muahahah! Melayu dah karat!!
Now we can simply ask her.
“What is Labah-labah called in English?”
“SPIDER!”
“How about cockroach in Malay!”
“LIPAS!”
“What do you called Nyamuk in English?”
“MOSQUITO!” ## tis one her favourite thanks to Bee Movie!
“How about ants?”
“SEMUT!!!”
Superbest!!! I hope I can find the real insects for her to see and befriend with! Ahakz!
I’ve yet to read for her this book called Apabila Saya Dewasa. I bet it would be more interesting. Saya hendak jadi angkasawan. She loves astronaut cos they wear space suit and fly a space rocket just like Little Einstein! Blast Off!
That’s about my bunny. Sorry, I’ve not written a long entry for quite some time.
