Silly Sisterly Love

February 26th, 2010 § 0

Today kakak is not schooling as it’s a day to reminisce maulidur rasul. Therefore, we brought the kids to granny for the weekend as we had several plans for some serious business for this coming weekend. #macam real.

With my two chatty-box girls, sometimes an argument can easily breakout over some silly mistakes. Oh dear, at times, their argument can be physically dangerous. Well, sincerely, adek can be one irritating bugs bunny. Guess what happened on one of the weekend? An encounter whereby she had disturbed her kakak that ended to an unexpected anger emulsified in kakak. This eventually resulted to a poking session on her adek’s nose with a pencil by the dear kakak.

How bad was that?

I believe I can’t blame the kakak too. Imagine peacefully finishing schoolwork when the mini mischievous adek kept irritating her kakak by destroying her school masterpiece. Well, my guess was that adek thought her continuous act towards her kakak was funny. Unfortunately, kakak had enough of her adek’s nonsensical act. If I were in her shoes, I will become hysterical too. Thus, I believe adek was asking for it. Great. In the end, adek received a FREE temporary torn marked by a pencil below her nose hole. A slight bleed but everything was at peace after the incident. Haaa. Blame them both for getting mad at each other over silly issues.

So with that, another silly issue brought up by kakak and adek again today. Before we went out, the papa reminded them to say their goodbyes to their dearest tortoise and a cynical argument appeared out of nowhere.

“Goodnight, sleep well tortoise!” adek
”Adek, it’s morning, you must say Good Morning. Sleep well!” kakak
“Kan tortoise nak sleep so good night la!” adek
“Iye, but its morning so good morning.” kakak
“Good morning to wake up, not to sleep!” adek
“Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!” kakak

Mama interrupted.

“Ok enough, just say goodbye tortoise, see you on Sunday!” mama flushed them out.
“Goodbye tortoise. See you on Sunday!” both kids.

One is 3, the other is turning 6. Can you call that silly sisterly love? Hee.

Exploring Resorts World

February 17th, 2010 § 0

Yes, kids still on sick mode.

Despite that, the papa dragged us; the fantastic four out for an evening walk to Sentosa to view Resort World. The fairly anticipated theme park aka Universal Studio Singapore that everyone has been waiting to outbreak their fear on the adventure rides. Unfortunately, my kids are just too small for those rides. I guess I will prefer Disneyland. But still, we can’t wait to tryout those rides.

For now, we came to have a peek at the awesome surroundings. Gorgeous!

Festive hotel is one of my favourite hotels. Beautiful ambience!

Oh yes, the luxury fashion galleria is definitely everyone’s favourite walkway. Heheh! Check it out.

It’s recommended to take public transport. So, we took the train to Sentosa and parked our vehicle at Vivo City. It’s a better solution to avoid the jam at the entrance as well as upon exiting the island. My goodness, that island no longer a place for simple family affair, it’s now a tourist spot. As a result, if you have a budget to explore Sentosa, please bring your own food and drinks. Otherwise please prepare for a hefty sum of expenses. Everything is double the cost. Another note, if you have extra leave to spare, visit the island on weekdays. Weekend will be overwhelmed with humans. Hee.

Oh yes, Ticketing: S$3 per person (Adult and Child aged 3 and above) which is also now payable using your EZLink. So families, please don’t forget your EZLink! Have fun!

For those whom avid fan of Universal Studio Singapore, check out here on more updates about the theme park.

Adek tak takut, kakak penakut!

“Mama, adek nak naik rollercoaster!”

Yes, she did. She took the rollercoaster with her mama at ease; smiling and enjoying the scenery with unseen nervousness while her dear kakak tugged her head down overcoming her fear.

And adek took the ride thrice. Can you spot adek from the blurred photos?

Heee. An adventure she took while we were on vacation at Downtown East with the family on Chinese New Year. Kids always fancy water theme park as well as amusement park. Thus Downtown East bags it all. With passport in hand that is within its expiring date, the papa decided that we shall have a simple vacation at the chalet. Plus, Chinese New Year was the day the mama turn one. Yes, another year older and surrounded with a 3 year old girl and a soon to be six! Not forgetting one papa whom is four year older than her. Hahahha.

Selamat Hari Tua! Thanks to the papa, he gave me the best present she ever had. A super duper delicious durian cake from Emicake. Takbolehangkat.com

Why I said the best because for all the years, we’ve been married, he has never allowed me to eat a single durian at home. That’s because he hates durian so much that he will puke whenever the strong stench lingered around him. Thus, I’m so pleased to have him endure the disgusting odor while I ate happily right smacked in front of him. Marvelous!

So who enjoyed their time most? Definitely, the kids were the ones whom had endless fun. From exploring through the water slides to taking endless rides at the amusement park, we end up having two sick children on 2 days of medical leave after 3 days of adventure. Great!

Thankfully, the week was a quiet week for the mama at work. Thus, to entrust the helper with 2 sick kids, the mama preferred to oversee them on her own. My two mischievous munchkins!

Where am I?
